About Raymond Dixon Stapleton

5th Great Grandfather Thomas Dixon moved his family and related families from Lancaster, PA to this plantation in early/mid 1700's. His son 4th Great Grandfather Capt. James Dixon (Patriot) led the Bedford County militia on several journeys/battles during the Revolutionary War. Several Veterans from the area are buried in the "DIXON BURYING GROUNDS."
